The Lahore High Court summoned Sanam Javed in person to hear a petition seeking the loss of her surety bond.
A two-member court, chaired by Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ms. Aaliya Neelum, heard Sanam Javed’s appeal.
The petitioner alleged in her plea that Sanam Javed failed to appear at the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore for hearings on two cases beginning on May 9.
The ATC Lahore denied Sanam Javed’s request for an exemption from attendance, and the court issued non-bailable arrest warrants against her.
The petition further stated that the court ordered the forfeiture of the personal bond supplied by her guarantor and father, Javaid Iqbal, and that the ATC had issued a show-cause notice to Sanam Javed’s father.
The petitioner demanded that the Lahore High Court revoke the decision confiscating Sanam Javed’s personal bond as well as the show-cause notice issued against her father.
Following the hearing, the Lahore High Court deferred the case to tomorrow (Wednesday) and called PTI worker Sanam Javed in person to address the issue.
